In the central region of Rio de Janeiro, Instituto Anjinho Feliz serves as a vital support center for people in vulnerable situations in Cidade Nova — one of the city’s areas with the worst social indicators. Selected through a public call in 2023, the institute was chosen to receive a solar energy system as part of Revolusolar’s expansion into the territory. With around 800 regular beneficiaries, the institution offers culinary, sewing, and computer courses, creating income and learning opportunities for children, youth, and adults in the area.

The installation of the solar system began in February 2024 and was completed in May, along with a full renovation of the roof structure. By August, the plant was fully operational and delivering immediate results: the electricity bill dropped by more than 60%, easing the institution’s financial burden and strengthening its long-term sustainability. The monthly savings are being entirely reinvested into social activities, directly benefiting around 367 families and reinforcing the institute’s role as a space of care, transformation, and hope in the heart of the city.
