In 2023, Revolusolar, in partnership with EDP, arrived in Espírito Santo and launched a new chapter of the popular energy transition in the neighborhood of Jabaeté, in Vila Velha. The project began with the installation of solar systems at three strategic points in the community: the headquarters of Tons de Amoras, which hosts workshops for women and tutoring sessions for children; Instituto GG5, a vibrant space for youth, urban arts, and community cinema; and the Associação de Nova Jabaeté, a hub for local collectives envisioning change and a better future. With these installations, solar energy became part of the community’s daily life, strengthening spaces that care for people and cultivate possibilities for the future.
Beyond supplying social initiatives with clean energy and reducing electricity bills, the project in Jabaeté promotes autonomy and local training. Solar-powered charging stations were installed in public areas such as the skate park and the Campo do Normilhão, allowing residents to charge their phones with solar energy. A group of 15 residents, including 8 women, was certified in electrical and photovoltaic installation, creating job opportunities within the community.
In 2025, the solar revolution gained new momentum with the launch of Phase II, aimed at serving the energy consumption of 100 families from Condomínio Residencial Vila Velha (a social housing development in the community), consolidating Jabaeté as a leading territory for climate and energy justice in the Southeast of Brazil.
